day 3//quote challenge

i apologize for skipping a day, but i was really busy yesterday (not an excuse, i swear). so i’ll do the last day of the quote challenge today.

“the moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
peter pan

basically, everything you can do is, believe it or not, limited to your imagination. if you think you can do it, you’re halfway there. but the second you stop believing in yourself, that’s the moment that you’ve failed.

i’ve been quite obsessed with peter pan lately. and it’s mostly (entirely) because of once upon a time, ya know, that tv show? it’s lovely, you should really watch it. i mean…

day 2 // quote challenge

day two of the quote challenge.

“but a book is only the heart’s portrait- every page a pulse.”
emily dickinson

i thought i should mention my uttermost love for books in a post soon, and so here it is. also, emily dickinson is infinitely marvelous and poet goals. if you haven’t read any of her works, i suggest you do so. like now. kidding. maybe later. but seriously, you should.

this comparison of the heart to a book is startlingly accurate. when you write something, you subconsciously put a little of your soul into it (aren’t we all just like voldemort then? ha.)

but i’m getting ahead of myself.

yep, so you can’t really help but insert pieces of yourself (not literally, please) into your writing. that’s what identifies your piece apart from others.

and how dickinson ever manages to state simple things in such a poetic manner, i will never know.

day 1//quote challenge

/via tumblr/

so dearest Mei from Simply Me(i) tagged me for this SUPER AWESOME THREE DAY QUOTE CHALLENGE. much thanks to you<3

  • thank the person who nominated you for the challenge
  • post a quote on your blog for 3 consecutive days
  • invite 3 of your favorite bloggers to join the challenge

*throws confetti in the air because i’m excited* so let’s get started with the first quote:-))

“you are enough. you are so enough. it is unbelievable how enough you are.”
—sierra boggess

these words are so amazingly inspiring, are they not? it’s simple, sure. but the meaning behind this is just—wow.

actually…you know what? here’s a challenge for you. it’s okay if you’re not one of my nominees for this challenge. because this is a different one entirely. could you tell someone that he/she is amazing today? just go out there and throw compliments at people. it’s not easy, obviously. but it’ll make someone’s day, and don’t you just love it when you see a smile on someone’s face and know you caused it? hehe

okay, i’m done babbling for the day.

here are my nominees:
